Refined Salt - why is it bad?

The entire body's nerve system runs on faint electrical signals generated by neuron which in turn uses sodium and potassium as medium to create this signals. When sodium level gets high, it is imbalanced with potassium concentration thus creating unbalanced strength of signal.

This in turn throws off body's natural feeling for equilibrium and you will be easier to be lured into old bad habit due to inability to feel body's need as a result of off balance.

Not only that, excessive salt drains calcium in the body, which weakens immune system. Any mineral loss including calcium in the body also leads to excessive craving for sugar. This is because depletion of mineral correlates to energy level in the body.

So when people eat more and more food and sweet stuffs to boost their energy but always tired is not because they are not eating enough, but they are not eating enough mineral. Eating more without minerals can lead to excessive eating which in turn lead to obesity.

What we use everyday as table salt is highly refined salt – iodized or not. Salt is the product of a chemical and high temperature industrial process that removes all the valuable magnesium salts as well as trace minerals naturally occurring in the sea.

Alternative: Sun-Dried Sea Salt. Better if it came from pristine environment. I use California or Mediterranean Sea salt.
